Grant Jackson teaching class
Latino Outreach Program Partner Grant Jackson
educates community members in Spanish at a pesticide education class.

LTWC is part of a collaborative effort along with 14 other community partner organizations that are reaching out to the Spanish-speaking community to help educate people that work with pesticides in the yard and landscape businesses on the safe and effective use of pesticides. People can use this information to not only reduce the amount of pesticides in the creek, but also the amount they are exposed to. This will improve water quality, habitat for fish and wildlife, and the health of people’s families!

The quality of our water is important to grown healthy food, for drinking water, and for playing near the creek. Since any pollution flows downstream, you would be helping people in your community also.

Reduction of pesticides in the creek will improve the health of Eugene families and the livability of Eugene and Springfield. Learn how each person is part of the solution to cleaner water! You’d be surprised at how easy it would be for you to help.
