Members of local Boy Scout Troop 54 and volunteer Jake Werhane helped with project stewardship on a gorgeous 60 degree Saturday. LTWC has completed four restoration phases at the Johnson property north of Fern Ridge along Franklin Rd. Several hundred native trees and shrubs that were planted as part of the project wore protective blue tubes for a few years to guard against grazing from deer and the local elk herd. Now that the trees are free to grow, the Boy Scouts removed several hundred tubes from the site. They were tremendous in disassembling and stacking these tubes and stakes for re-use at another project site. Many thanks!
