- What this area likely looked like thousands of years ago
- What geomorphic processes and major events (like the Missoula Floods and Mount Mazama eruption) shaped our region?
- How those events have influenced the soil of the valley floor in places like the West Eugene Wetlands and Amazon Creek basin.
- Likely evolution of the Long Tom River’s path over its history
Presenters:
- Josh Roering, Dr. Roering is a professor of Geological Sciences at the University of Oregon
- Karin Baitis, retired Soils Scientist from Eugene District Bureau of Land Management
