Explore an active restoration project on private land on a guided tour co-hosted by McKenzie River Trust (MRT). This property in the Ferguson Creek basin contains important habitat for cutthroat trout, migratory birds, upland plants, and other species. LTWC has worked with the landowner to improve stream habitat, streamside vegetation, and fish passage. The landowners also have entered into a conservation easement through McKenzie River Trust.

Topics:

  • Learn about conservation easements on private land and what resources are available
  • Meeting multiple landowner goals
  • Other nearby protected and restored areas in Ferguson Creek, and why these properties are important habitat corridors
  • The partnership between land trusts and watershed councils – how they work together to improve habitat
