(Top Right) Essex General Construction, Inc. was the winner of the 2016 Mayor’s Bold Steps Award in addition to taking the Trout Friendly Landscape pledge. The lowest pond of the rain garden is integrated into the mature landscape and helps encourage stormwater infiltration. (Bottom Right) The Joe’s Garage rain garden during its first summer! As this landscape matures, the trees and shrubs will be more prominent and the taller forbs will be removed, creating a neat, manageable urban landscape.
