LTWC is proposing one key and a few minor adjustments to our bylaws, the governing document of our organization. These changes have been reviewed and approved by our Board of Directors to go up for adoption by a vote from the Council membership at the Annual Meeting. Copies of both the current bylaws and the proposed changes will be available at the Annual Meeting, and there is a link on our website. The proposed changes include:
1. Broaden the geography served as stated in our mission statement – Through grant funding, local collaboration, and the expertise of our staff and partners, LTWC is poised to expand our service boundary to include lands adjacent to the Willamette River and some of the Eugene metro area. We have worked with fellow councils to draw the right boundary line.

2. Add specific language that fulfills a requirement from one of our funders, the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board, in order to receive capacity grants. These changes would specify what we already practice as an organization, including that our board has diverse representation from multiple geographic and community interests and that board meetings convene at least quarterly.
